She started working from 8 years old, living away from her parents and just worked hard.

Our team especially tries to focus on eccentric, lovely but “Rock” ladies above the age of 80, who have lived through World War Two. We interview them with great care, and through their recipes which represents the relationships they share with those they care about, we are able to uncover great depth in their life stories. We want to spread those stories to the young generations living today. We believe that if we can share the stories of those beautiful and loving ladies to the world, regardless of borders and languages, people may appreciate even the dinner table just a little bit more.

かっこよすぎやろこのおばあちゃん。
ばあちゃんの横って、ただいるだけで安心した。子どものころ、学校から帰ったらまず「ばーちゃーん」って農作業してる祖母を探しにいってた。楽しいことをしてるわけじゃないのに、一緒に何かするのがとてつもなく幸せだった。一緒に歩くばあちゃんの長靴の音今でも忘れない。

I don’t know how or why I was recommended this video, but I am so grateful it was. What a wonderful woman. I lost my grandmother the end of last year and miss her terribly. She was an amazing cook who was always the soul behind the food made during the family’s gatherings. This video was just a representation of how our elders always have something to offer to those around them.
She’s so old yet works so hard…. literally like she’s inspiration for all the young people out there….💙

去年、99歳で亡くなったおばあちゃんを思い出す。ばあちゃんって、あったかい響きですね。冬になるといつも、ストーブで、焼き芋を焼いて、学校からの帰りを待っててくれた。心にゆっくりあの頃の雪が降り積もるような動画でした。
